Penang Beaches

Bayview Beach Resort is located on the beachfront on the North-West coast of Penang Island. The resort overlooks the tranquil and scenic bay of the "Foreigner's Rock" or Batu Ferringhi. It is 18 km or 20 minutes from Georgetown and 33 km or 45 minutes from Penang International Airport. Click here for location map

For the beach crawlers in Penang, one of the best places to hang around in is Monkey Beach. Of course, there are other attractive beaches on the island, but if you're looking for privacy, this beach will be your best bet. Protected by the Muka Head cape, it is an ideal bay with flat and sandy beaches.

The beach is about 20 minutes ride by boat from Batu Ferringhi and 2 hour’s vigorous trek from Telok Bahang. It offers tranquility, privacy & quiet moments away from the hustle & bustle of Georgetown. If you do decide to walk, there will be sign leading you to the beach after you do registration (Free) at the Penang National Park. My advice is that you start your journey, early in the morning so you can have plenty of time to plan your activities there.

The beach is what Batu Feringgi is famous for. On a relative scale, the beach may not be as gorgeous as those found on some islands off Peninsular Malayisa, but you get a wide mix of conveniences and facilities that make staying in Batu Feringgi a highly-accessible and easy vacation. Also, the scenic backdrops of large granite boulders, fine sand, lush vegetation and calm waters make this the perfect place to enjoy the sea and surf.

Mutiara Beach Resort Penang heralds a new standard for Asian resort hotels. Located on a prime beachfront at Teluk Bahang, otherwise known as the 'glowing bay', it nestles in 7.3 hectares (18 acres) of landscaped tropical greenery. All 438 of its spacious rooms enjoy sea and garden views. Here in this paradise of comfort and luxury, it has been claimed that nothing is unusual. The name Mutiara means 'pearl' and is also a term of endearment in the Malay language. A perfect description for an extraordinary resort with a lively Malaysian personality
